Background History of Patek Philippe
The company known as Patek Philippe was founded in Geneva in 1839, by Antoine Patek and Jean A Philippe.  With over 160 years of watchmaking ingenuity, Patek Philippe has received more than 70 patents.  Many of the company's inventions have influenced the horological community.  These include the precision regulator, the perpetual calendar mechanism, the double chronograph, and the Annual Calendar.   Many watch collectors, enthusiast, and dealers consider timepieces created by Patek Philippe to be the finest in the world.  In order to create these fine watches, the watchmaking process can require three years to assemble.  From ultra-thin to extremely complicated watches, Patek Philippe covers all facets of mechanical timekeeping.

Background Information of the Patek Philippe Watch Collection
Calatrava Collection
In 1932, Patek Philippe created the Calatrava Collection.  The Patek Philippe Calatrava utilizes hobnail patterns or polished bezels to capture the true Patek Philppe style.  The Calatrava showcases sleek design and subtle elegance with an ultra thin case.  This collection reflects Patek's pursuit of perfection for the classic watch.

Gondola Collection
Inspired by the 1925 historical model, Patek Philippe created the Gondola Collection.  The rectangular design of the Patek Philippe Gondola is known for its strong lines and sensual curves. This is Patek Philippe's contemporary interpretation of the Art Decco Style.

Nautilus Collection
The Patek Philippe Nautilus Collection represents the casual and elegant sport watch.  With an octagonal shape and soft edges, the modern design of the Nautilus is both reliable and durable. This Patek watch is shock resistant and features a power reserve indicator to suit men and women of all lifestyles.

Aquanaut Collection
Similar to the Nautilus, the modern design of the Aquanaut represents the causal elegant watch.  The Aquanaut is comprised of state of the art materials with a screw-down crown. It has an Arabic dial and symbolizes Patek's vision of men and women who enjoy a laid back lifestyle.

Twenty 4 Collection
In 1868, Patek Philippe created the Twenty 4 Collection.  The Twenty 4 Watch represents the elegant feminine dress watch. It has a Roman Dial and utilizes Quartz movement. With top Wesselton diamonds on the bezel, this watch is good for both casual and business.
