Uboat Watch
If you've ever heard about the
UBoat watch,
you may or may not also have heard about its scintillating history.
This watch is in fact a chronograph watch, which is immensely important
for a captain of a ship to have as a means to ensure that he is
steering in the correct direction and navigating correctly and accurately.
In the early 30's and even the 40's, a German company by the name
of Hanhart created the very first chronograph watches and these
watches were used within the commands of large fleets of war ships
within the Kriegsmarine, and the UBoats in particular - which is
evidently where the UBoat watch gets its name. These watches, which
were uniquely created for these torpedo ships were full of unbelievable
features, such as scales and calculations for distance and time,
as well as accurately providing projections for the torpedoes when
they were fired.
The reason why precision was so
important in every single UBoat
watch was because if there was even a single error in its predictions,
that could mean that these fighter ships could be hit by their enemy
and all killed on board. There were many captains that played a
prominent role in history who made use of these UBoat watches, some
of which include Otto Kretschmer, Gunther Prien and Reinhard Hardegen,
to mention a few. Many of these early original watches are still
in existence today, but they are priceless antiques today and because
they are so valued, they are once again in production, but more
modernized versions of the watch, of course. The same original watchmaker
Hanhart also created the remake of this first UBoat
watch, and it is made superbly with a jeweled interface and
mechanical movements. The watches are also stunningly presented
in gorgeous leather boxes, where you can store your UBoat watch
when you're not wearing it.
The newly recreated UBoat
watch has 28 000 vibrations each hour and offers the owner accuracy,
security and of course it is immensely durable as well. The markings
within the watch face are identical to the originals, with red lettering,
reading "KM", which stands for Kriegsmarine. There is a great amount
of glow lighting within the watch, which can be accessed by the
simple touch of a button for easy reading within dark corners or
at night. Something that might really impress you about this watch
is that every single one of them is made by hand, individually and
they are not mass-produced, giving them a unique quality guarantee
that cannot be found in many other watches today. These exceptional
watches are really worth every penny, as they last a lifetime and
are truly a treasure to keep close to one's heart. Whether you'd
like to purchase a UBoat watch for yourself, a friend or even a
family member - one thing is for sure: you will definitely be getting
quality and making a big investment, as these watches are very sought
after in today's time.
