Used Panerai Watch
If you own your own used
Panerai watch, you are probably so glad to have such a wonderful
treasure that you can pass on to your children and onwards for generations
yet to come. You may not know a whole lot about the Panerai watch
company or even where it got its name. The interesting thing is
that this company was always a family business that was started
by Giovanni Panerai, when he opened his very first small watch making
store in Florence and slowly starts getting in contact with some
of the most well known Swiss watch makers and producers. As mentioned
earlier, the Panerai company was a family business, so obviously
when Giovanni Panerai passed away, his son Leon Francesco took over
the watch making shop and carried on with his father's business,
which was growing at a steady and rapid rate. After Leon Francesco
Panerai's reign of the business, his son, Guido Panerai, took over
the shop and expanded it quite immensely.
You may not know that the company
that created your used
Panerai watch was in fact the official supplier to the Royal
Italian Navy - now that's a huge accomplishment for a small little
watch making store that just grew and grew with the passing of time.
Later on, the Panerai watch making company even supplied the ministry
of defense with special time keeping instruments. You may be wondering
why so many important groups were in need of watches and other time
keeping instruments from the Panerai watch making company - well,
the reason is a simple one: The Panerai watch making company produced
(and still produces today) watches of outstanding quality and precision
with mechanical parts that are exceptional in nature, and for this
reason, you should take special care of your watch, and have it
checked out regularly by a registered Panerai watch seller or technician.
If your used
Panerai watch is a water resistant one, then you should remember
to get it examined at least every two years, in case you have submerged
it for too long at some point - remember water resistant is not
the same thing as water proof. Sometimes, the watch service center
will merely want to replace the seals within the watch for an added
guarantee of a longer life and to ensure against any water contamination
in the places that shouldn't get wet under any circumstances. Another
thing to look out for, especially in a used
Panerai watch is whether or not it seems to lose time or even
gain time gradually. If you find that this is the case, then you
should have it checked out, as it may have some operational faults,
which could be due to any number of reasons, such as lubricant deterioration
or water contamination. You can keep your watch nice and sparkly
by simply washing it (if it is water proof or resistant) in a little
soap and water and gently brushing it with a very soft toothbrush
and then polishing it up with a dry, soft clothe.
